Gamepads geared for Tegra-powered devices
Most of the gear at E3 has focused on traditional game consoles, however Nyko brought along its PlayPad gamepads for Android tablets. Electronista stopped by the company's booth to try out the Bluetooth-connected PlayPad and its larger sibling, the PlayPad Pro.

Nyko combined Vita dock and speaker released
Nyko has shipped the Speaker Stand for the Sony PlayStation Vita. The combined charging dock and speaker system turns the Vita into a home music system.

Nyko ships Zoom for Kinect to reduce range
The Nyko Zoom accessory for the Xbox Kinect add-on is now shipping. Introduced at E3, the lens basically reduces the distance gamers need to stand away from the Kinect. At the E3 show, a demonstration of the gadget in action didn't reveal any glitches or shortcomings.

Kinect add-on reduces space needed to play by 40%
At the E3 conference in June,
Nykos demonstrated the Zoom for Kinect. The Zoom is a clip on device that allows players to stand closer to the console, effectively reducing the amount of space needed to play games. Nykos has finally settled on a ship date and now expects it in stores August 23.

Nyko Zoom for Kinect tested at E3
We had the opportunity to quickly try Nyko's Zoom for Kinect at E3. The add-on is very simple at its heart and refocuses the Xbox 360 motion controller's cameras to a closer distance. While it hadn't been fully explained in the release, Nyko at the show believed it could properly track two players in about the same distance it would take a regular Kinect to show one. A single player on the Zoom should get over a foot closer to the screen, a definite plus for an apartment.

Nyko puts out Kinect and 3DS extras for E3
Nyko helped kick off E3 by rolling out three accessories targeting the Kinect, the 3DS, and the PS3. Zoom for Kinect refocuses the camera controller on a closer distance for apartments and other areas where Microsoft's usual eight-foot requirement doesn't give enough space. The accessory maker claims 40 percent less distance and all the fidelity of using the Kinect by itself.

Nyko intros power add-ons for Nintendo 3DS owners
Nyko helped load up the upcoming American launch of the Nintendo 3DS with two new accessories to extend its relatively short battery life. The Power Pak+ plugs into the 3DS and roughly doubles the battery life. While it adds extra bulk, it has a debossed surface to improve the grip.

Nintendo, Nyko settle
Gaming accessory maker Nyko and Nintendo have announced on Wednesday that they have settled a lawsuit regarding an alleged infringement on Nintendo's patent and intellectual property regarding its Nunchuk controller for the Wii gaming console. Nyko's own, wireless version of the Nintendo Nunchuk controller, called the Kama, prompted Nintendo to take legal action against the smaller company back in June. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed, though Nyko will continue to sell the Kama.
