40-50 new stores, expansions for some old stores
Apple CFO Peter Oppenheimer reported significant growth in the Apple retail market segment, including a near-doubling of profit, a 75 percent increase in revenue and a huge increase in the number of visitors from last year. The company plans to not only open more foreign stores to capitalize on fast-growing overseas markets, but also wants to expand some stores to accommodate the increased growth, such as the recent remodeling/move of the St. Louis Galleria store.

Oppenheimer says Verizon iPhone could hurt Google
An actual iPhone for Verizon could have a major impact not only on Apple but on Google, Oppenheimer analyst Yair Reiner said on Wednesday. He estimated that at least 12 million current customers could get iPhones if they reach the network next year. The gain could add $7 billion in revenue by itself.

Apple device at 1m a month, 70-30 revenue split
Apple's often-rumored tablet device has been narrowed down to a specific production timeframe and could land a deadly blow against Amazon's Kindle reader through a revenue deal, according to an unusually detailed research note from Oppenheimer analyst Yair Reiner. Investigations into Apple's supply network claim the widely reported 10-inch, multi-touch device will be put into mass production in February with a likely launch target of March or April. As many as 1 million will be made every month, according to the sources.
