Support extended to LG Optimus Hub, Optimus Pro
Developers have continued to expand the list of devices supported by CyanogenMod, adding several LG devices and Samsung's Epic 4G. The unofficial custom firmware can now be installed on LG's Optimus 3D, Optimus Hub and Optimus Pro, while the Optimus Black has been added back onto the list of supported devices for the CM7 build.
Leaked image shows rebranded Optimus
LG's Optimus Black handset appears to be headed for Sprint, however a leaked image suggests the US carrier may rebrand the device as the "Marquee." The photo, which was posted by Android Central, shows a device with the same facade as the current Black, alongside a Sprint card with the Marquee trademark.
Handset boasts 700-nit
LG has released a stop-motion video to help market the Optimus Black smartphone. The device is compared in a 'race' against other handsets, which appear to represent the iPhone, Samsung's Galaxy S, and Sony Ericsson's Xperia Arc, though the competing devices uses nicknames. The company is highlighting the Black's 9.2mm thickness and 109g weight, while the 700-nit display is claimed to be 40 percent brighter than the rest of the group.
