Lumia 610 arrives at UK retailers and carriers, priced at £15 per month

Nokia launched the Lumia 610 smartphone in the UK on Wednesday. As the company's entry-level Windows Phone-powered device, it has just 256MB of RAM and is relegated to Windows Phone 7.5. Major UK carriers and retailers including Vodafone, Orange, O2, T-Mobile, Three, Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u will sell the phone starting at just £15 (about $23) per month on a contract, with no money down.

Nokia Lumia 900 now at Rogers, dated for the UK

Nokia's Lumia 900 has now arrived in Canada in LTE guise, with Rogers offering the Windows Phone for $100 on a three-year voice and data contract. At the same time, Pocket-Lint reported that the HSPA+ version of the handset will be available in the UK on April 27. Electronics retailers Phones 4U and Carphone Warehouse will stock the handset at that time, with the former of the two offering the white version as a UK exclusive.

Windows Phone 7 to reach all UK carriers on launch

WP7 handsets launching at all major UK carriers

Microsoft on Wednesday assured UK phone buyers that all major providers will carry Windows Phone 7-powered devices at launch of the mobile OS. Orange, O2, Vodafone, T-Mobile and 3 will all have one or more models. UK phone retailers The Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u will also carry the devices.

Sony Ericsson fixes issues of Aino, Satio phones

Sony Ericsson announced it has resolved the issues that plagued its Aino Satio smartphones, addressing the former's freezing touchscreen and the latter's software glitch. The issues led UK retailers to stop selling the devices, and at least one retailer will bring back sales after the issue is addressed. The firmware update will also improve the performance of the phones and stabilize their operation.

Phones 4u to support multiple carriers

UK retailer Phones 4u has announced a deal to begin selling the iPhone, both online and through its stores. Devices will be paired either with the original UK iPhone carrier, O2, or else Orange, which is slated to begin support later this year. Phones 4u has not mentioned a particular timeline for starting sales, or what special discounts it might offer, if any.
