RAmos ships W7 Android MID

Device features 4.8" screen, 600MHz CPU

RAmos has finally launched the W7, a new Android-based MID. The device features a polished metal housing similar in appearance to an iPod touch, but with a 4.8-inch WVGA touchscreen. Android 1.5 is powered by a Rockchip RK2808 CPU capable of decoding HD video, including MKV files.

RAmos T11TE promises pocket 1080p

RAmos touts advanced video on 5-inch player

Chinese media player designer RAmos has in a relatively quiet move launched one of its most advanced devices to date. With a 5-inch touchscreen LCD, the T11TE is capped at 800x480 on its native display but has a Telechips processor that can decode 1080p video put out through the player's HDMI output, even in multiple different formats. It tackles common formats like AVI, MOV and WMV but can display subtitles from DVD rips and Matroska (MKV) files as well.

RAmos 1080p Android tablet debut due next week?

Chinese portable multimedia player maker RAmos will soon release an Android-powered mobile Internet device that will have the capability of playing back 1080p high-definition videos, according to a recent Pocketables report. The official release is expected to come at a press event on Friday, September 25th, with the device based largely on, if not simply a rebadged version of, the Rockchip Android-powered MID concept spotted last month.
