Ricoh has launched a set of three monochrome laser printers in the United States. The SP 213SNw and SP 213SFNw multifunction printers and the SP 213Nw printer all offer print speeds of up to 23 pages per minute, a low 10-second wait for the first print, minimal warm-up times, and a number of different connectivity and networking options.

The WG-30 and WG-30W are compact 16-megapixel cameras designed for use outdoors in extreme activities, with the pair able to survive submergence to a depth of 12 meters (39.3 feet), environments as cold as -10C (14F), withstand drops from a height of 1.5 meters (4.9 feet), and being crushed by up to 220 pounds in weight.

Today, Ricoh Imaging Americas Corporation has revealed the new Pentax 645Z magnesium alloy-bodied, medium-format DSLR. The new camera has a shutter speed of up to 1/4000th of a second, and has an top ISO of 204,800.

Ricoh has launched a trio of cameras designed for outdoor use, following in the footsteps of the WG-3. The ruggedized WG-4, WG-4 GPS, and the WG-20 are all compact cameras offering IPX8 waterproofing to 14 meters (45 feet) for up to two hours, 10 meters (32 feet) for the WG-20, as well as being dust-proof, shock-resistant, able to survive a weight of up to 100kg (220lb), and resistant to temperatures as low as -10 Centigrade (14 Fahrenheit).

Ricoh has unveiled the CX6 compact camera. The device focuses on speed and features a hybrid autofocus system with lock-in times as short as 0.1 seconds. Consumer-level additions include the Fuji FinePix F600EXR, Nikon Coolpix P7100, Pentax Q, and Ricoh GXR Mount A12, as well as Olympus' E-P3, E-PL3 and E-PM1, Panasonic's DMC-FZ150, DMC-G3 and DMC-GF3, and Sony's NEX-C3, NEX-5N, SLT-A35, SLT-A65 and SLT-A77.

The GR Digital IV improves on the the GR Digital III with the quicker Hybrid AF focusing system, a new image engine and an improved optical filter. The improved autofocus system is up to twice as fast as the previous model. The camera also has a new high brightness 3-inch VGA LCD monitor.

Ricoh on Monday improved on its flagship point-and-shoot model and rolled out the GR Digital III. Sharing the same basic body design as the GR Digital II, it still outputs 10-megapixel shots but generates less noise and also shoots up to a much wider aperture of f1.9, producing a more DSLR-like shallow depth of field as well as allowing more light in. It also brings shutter priority to supplement the existing aperture priority mode and has a 3-inch, 920,000-pixel LCD with more than three times the resolution of the camera's predecessor.

Ricoh has taken its turn at pre-PMA introductions today and has unveiled the CX1. Rather than solely increase the resolution, the company has opted to give the 9.3-megapixel camera an emphasis on image quality. By using a 1/2.3" CMOS sensor instead of a typical CCD and including a new imaging engine, Ricoh hopes to significantly reduce the amount of noise and also to expand the dynamic range. An algorithm that interpolates pixel color values from the sensor gives the camera about 1 EV (exposure value) more of range than typical cameras.

Ricoh on Tuesday announced its newest digital camera, the G600, which is water- and dust-resistant. The camera is meant for outdoor sports use and as such, is rugged enough to withstand a near five-foot drop. To earn a MIL Standard 810F rating, the 5x optical zoom lens is all internal so it never protrudes from the body, making it invulnerable to damage when dropped. The 10-megapixel G600 is otherwise optimized for harsh conditions, with big buttons that can be operated with gloved hands and a rating for use in temperatures ranging from 14F to 104F. The new camera is also able to shoot movies and take photos at under up to 3.3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.

Ricoh today introduced the Aficio SP C222DN color laser printer alongside the Aficio SP C222SF series of color laser multifunction products (MFPs, shown at right). The six new models feature a sleek and compact design to provide a more personal look and feel for small offices requiring color documents, according to Ricoh. The SP C220DN, SP C221DN, and SP C222DN are priced at $530, $630 and $760, respectively. The Aficio SP C220S is available for $830, while the SP C221SF is priced at $950 and the SP C222SF sells for $1,050.

Ricoh recently introduced the GelSprinter GX2500, the first in its line of gel printers meant for workgroups of up to three users. The GX2500 is capable of printing 28 pages per minute in both color, and black and white, using a viscous ink formulation to provide waterproof, smear-less images that don't bleed through paper. Ricoh says the printer is ideal for cost conscious organizations such as schools, real estate firms, and insurance offices. The GX2500 is currently available for $170 through Ricoh's online store, and through select retailers nationwide.
