Canon Photo Printers Jul09
Canon this morning revealed a trio of photo printers that bring a handful of noteworthy new features. The PIXMA MP560 is Canon's smallest all-in-one inkjet with both Wi-Fi and duplex printing in the same box. It also centers on a second-generation photo correction feature that can adjust for exposure in different areas of a shot as well as brightness and saturation. A new USB port supports printing directly from a flash drive or similar direct storage without having to first sync with a computer.

Canon SELPHY printers
Canon on Tuesday released a new compact photo printer in three colors, the SELPHY CP780. The new portable printer is faster and reportedly has better image quality than the model it replaces, while the new colors mimic some of those on the also newly released SD1200 IS digital camera. Users can crop and preview their images on the CP780's 2.5-inch LCD screen.

Canon SELPHY ES3 and ES30
Canon's announcements on Tuesday have wrapped up with an unveiling for two new SELPHY hand-portable photo printers. The camera maker's flagship ES3 breaks out from the normal range by holding 1GB of flash memory of its own, giving it just enough room to hold a significant number of favorite shots to print or recover later on. Its screen is also one of the largest for the category at 3.5 inches and promises more accurate color adjustments.

Canon CP770 and CP760
Canon on Tuesday refreshed its photo printers with two additions to the SELPHY line. Just recently launched in Europe, the CP770 is designed to look accessible with a basket-like shape and a handle for owners to tote the printer around and make prints on vacations. A battery pack is available to run the printer for "hours," Canon says. The printer itself builds in a 2.5-inch preview LCD and outputs 300DPI, 4-by-6 inch prints in 52 seconds.
