Kodak offloads online photos to Shutterfly
Kodak took a key step to getting out of its ongoing bankruptcy by tentatively selling its online Kodak Gallery photo service to Shutterfly. The deal will move both the 75 million users and their photos to the larger, more stable service. Photographers will have the chance to opt out and still get their photos, either through direct downloads for free or by buying photo DVDs while Kodak Gallery is active.

Litl Webbook drops to $399 from $699
The Litl Webbook has received a price slash to nearly half, says tech blogger John Gruber. The company's first netbook computer has a 12-inch LCD that opens nearly 180 degrees to act like a stand and enable TV-like viewing. There is no reason given for the significant price drop.

Sony intros Bloggie pocket cameras at CES
At its press conference at CES, Sony introduced new pocket cameras it calls bloggie, which are meant to produce and quickly upload Internet videos for quick sharing. Similar in concept to the Flip Video cameras that arguably pioneered the category, but has features more inline with the company's latest Ultra HD digital camera, Sony's bloggie cameras record 1920x1080 high-definition MP4 format videos and capture 5-megapixel images. The content can then be quickly uploaded to PCs and the Internet thanks to a built-in USB connection that flips out of the body. This USB will also charge the internal battery.

Litl Webbook launches with custom OS
Litl has quickly acted on rumors by launching its first computer, the Webbook. The PC breaks away from the usual netbook market through a unique 12-inch LCD that bends almost completely backwards and turns the system into an easel-like display; the mode is considered ideal for video watching or for sharing content with someone else. To match, the screen uses a high-quality LCD with a 178-degree viewing angle and better colors, and unlike most netbooks carries a dedicated (but unnamed) GPU that can decode H.264 video at up to 720p.
