Virgin Atlantic to provide concierge staff Google Glass, Sony smartwatch devices

Virgin Atlantic airline has announced its introduction of wearable technology amongst its Upper Class Wing concierge staff. Using either Google Glass or Sony Smartwatch technology, staff will be able to facilitate a thorough check-in process, providing up-to-the-minute flight information, weather, local events information, and language translation, and more. The gear will be equipped with a dispatch app built by air transport IT company SITA, which will manage all task allocation and concierge availability. The integration of wearable technology is initially set to be a six-week pilot program.
