Dell Streak Pro 101DL goes dual core, qHD AMOLED
Hoping to shed its reputation for mid-range and budget smartphones, Dell has taken the unusual approach of going for the very highest end of the field with the Streak Pro 101DL. Borrowing the name of Dell's tablets, it's rare in carrying a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen at 540x960; most AMOLED screens stop at 480x800. A dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, an eight-megapixel rear camera, and a 1.3-megapixel front camera also put it more clearly at the top of the ranks.
Dell Streak 10 Pro coming to China before US
Dell's upcoming 10-inch Streak Pro tablet will get a debut in China first, according to company executives speaking to CNET. The reasons for this are the relative immaturity of Android in the US and carrier control. The device, which will sport a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 5-megapixel camera and 1280x800 resolution, was expected to come to the US or Europe first.
