Sumitomo, Sony collaborate on green laser for projectors with >100mW output
Sony and Sumitomo Electric have jointly developed a new gallium nitride green laser diode that has twice the luminosity of traditional gallium nitride (GaN) green lasers. It can produce an optical output of more than 100mW in the true green region at a wavelength of 530nm.
