Yuma 2 gets more storage space, newer Atom processor, more changes
Trimble has followed up its rugged Yuma tablet with the Yuma 2. It is also powered by Windows 7, like the past device, and is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, and there is 4GB of RAM onboard. It uses a 7-inch capacitive multitouch screen with 1,024x600 resolution and an anti-reflective coating.

Google Earth tech bought by Trimble Navigation
Trimble Navigation on Thursday bought Google’s SketchUp 3D modelling platform. Trimble specializes in navigation equipment for marine, mapping, and surveying industries and the new acquisition will let it bring a new level of field presence and views to these and more. It will work with Google on developing SketchUp's 3D Warehouse, an online place for users to find, share, and cooperate on creating 3D models.

LightSquared insists conspiracy to block its 4G
LightSquared in a hostile message accused US agencies on Friday of "bias and collusion" for finding interference with GPS in LightSquared's proposed 4G LTE network. It argued that the government had made a questionable deal with GPS proponent Trimble for testing that "deliberately" excluded LightSquared from testing. As part of the accusations, it had on Wednesday complained to NASA's Investigator General that Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Advisory Board member Dr. Brad Parkinson was inherently biased against LightSquared as a director of Trimble.
