Uses holographic laser to create touchable image

Light Blue Optics' pico projector has reached the FCC for approval. The Light Touch uses a combination of holographic laser projection (HLP) and infrared sensors to create a virtual WVGA touchscreen on any flat surface. The image can be up to 10.1 inches in size.

UI Centric cancels plans for Windows 7 tablet PC

Work on a promised Windows 7 tablet PC preloaded with the Macallan user interface has been stopped and the tablet itself canceled, Engadget reported on Wednesday. UI Centric, the maker of the software that lets users navigate like turning pages in a book, no longer promises a tablet with its software. Details for the cancellation haven't been released.
