HTC Rezound slipped out by Verizon itself
Verizon on Sunday spoiled HTC's November 3 event by posting ads for the Rezound. While they don't show more than a product shot, they do confirm the Beats Audio connection, including the signature red-corded headphones and red light-up navigation keys. The ads hint the phone might be ready to go soon after the event.

HTC Rezound appears in official case shots
The HTC Rezound has been spoiled ahead of its launch with the official HTC cases for the device showing the new smartphone itself. The official HTC photos of the cases come ahead of the official press shots. The new smartphone, also known as the HTC Vigor, is expected to be formally launched on November 10.

Verizon version of HTC Vigor to be called Rezound
The HTC Vigor smartphone has been spotted in Verizon's Device Management system with the Rezound name. Droid-Life sources allegedly confirm that the phone will be renamed as such, and the name was rumored when the handset first appeared in unofficial channels. The major specs are impressive and include a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, a 4.3-inch 720p touchscreen, and LTE-based 4G.

Nexus Prime and more tracked in Verizon system
Three flagship Android phones Verizon have surfaced in the Cellebrite catalog system that both confirms their Verizon attachments as well as that they will ship soon. As found by Droid-Life, the highlight is the Nexus Prime, the official Google-blessed Ice Cream Sandwich phone. The Samsung-made phone has a Verizon-specific SCH-i515 model number and is mentioned by name, hinting that Google has settled on a name.

HTC invites Beats-themed event in London
HTC UK has issued an opt-in event invite on Facebook to the launch of HTC with Beats Audio. It's happening at the Roundhouse in London on October 6 and will include performances from Fedde le Grand, Martin Solveig and an unknown headliner. It's expected HTC will use the opportunity to officially reveal the Sensation XL/Runnymede, the Vigor smartphones, or both.

Verizon-badged HTC Vigor photos leaked early
The HTC Vigor handset has just been thoroughly photographed online, revealing many of its specs. Originating from the Team BAMF forums, the photos reveal a 1.5GHz, dual-core processor, Android 2.3.4 preloaded, and both eight-megapixel rear and two-megapixel front cameras. The 4.3-inch screen has a 720p resolution as well.

HTC Vigor media leaks specs
The HTC Vigor had some of its details spoiled through a set of media files leaked Friday. At least some of the wallpapers seen by Android Police are 1440x1280 and support notions that the Vigor could be the first Android phone with a 720p (1280x720) screen. The boot animation also shows the 4G LTE logo for Verizon and Beats Audio.

Phones to hit the Shack in October
Radio Shack will likely begin selling the Samsung Stratosphere on October 6 and the HTC Vigor on October 20. A photo of the Shack's "direct fill" schedule leaked by Droid-Life has both devices in the retailer's shops on or before the date. Both phones will be sold for the Verizon network, so pre-ordering could begin as early as the end of this month for the Stratosphere.

Fresh rumors, press shots surface
HTC's unannounced Vigor handset may be set to arrive on the market as the Droid Incredible HD, according to an alleged Verizon memo. HTC Bliss may appear at NYC gathering
HTC dropped a strong clue as to the release timing of the Bliss with an invite it sent to members of the media. The notice points to a September 20 gathering in New York City. Little is mentioned as to the contents, but a request to "come celebrate in style" and the use of the Bliss' expected seafoam green and possible purple colors.

HTC Vigor now at FCC, hinting Verizon debut due
The upcoming HTC Vigor has been spotted undergoing FCC testing, complete with support for Verizon's 4G network. It also has CDMA and EVDO network support, though other details are still unconfirmed. Thanks to an earlier unofficial report, it's expected the handset will arrive on October 6 at the earliest, and the FCC filing supports this.

THX expanding to mobile audio
THX senior VP Rick Dean in an interview Monday said his company was pursuing its certification process for smartphones and tablets. The audio team was "actively going down that path" of hoping to improve mobile audio, in part because mobile devices could now output to a TV. Size limited what THX could do, but Dean told Pocket-lint that compression or DSP tuning could improve what came out of the system.

Verizon moves upgrade schedules for Apple, Moto
Verizon subscribers saw the possible effect of a follow-up iPhone release for the first time Monday with word that customers were having their upgrade schedules moved up. Similar to what has been orchestrated by AT&T in the past, Verizon owners are seeing their upgrade timeframes moved up to make them immediately eligible. In some cases, the upgrades have been moved up even for those who wouldn't have been eligible until May 2012.

HTC Vigor spotted in real photos
The elusive HTC Vigor has been seen for the first time in a sighting that still leaves some questions. The Android phone supports at least some of the claims, including the 4.3-inch display and its Verizon destination through the red camera ring. That signature trait led Droid-Life to sugget it might become another Droid model, possibly the long-talked about Droid Incredible HD.

HTC Vigor gets Bluetooth 3.0 certification
The forthcoming HTC Vigor is one step closer to hitting the market after receiving its official Bluetooth certification. In addition to support for the Bluetooth 3.0 standard, the device will support A2DP 1.2 as well as Hands-Free Profile 1.5. The certification for the 1.5GHz dual-core super smartphone is recorded as being approved on July 14.

The Beats by Dr. Dre device should be identified as such by a logo that appears during the boot-up sequence.
