Remotely manageme Home Server from smartphone
Microsoft has made available the Release Candidate of Windows Server Solutions Phone Connector. The app enables a user to manage a server running Windows Home Server 2011 via a Windows Phone 7 mobile device. Using the connector, a user can both remotely control the server itself and relay media streams.

Windows Home Server 2011 Evaluation due in April
The Windows Home Server 2011 software, formerly known as Vail, will be available in Evaluation guise early in April, the Home Server team announced on Tuesday. The software's release version has been approved, and the program aims to make files and data organized and accessible from anywhere, while automatically backing it up. The team also added that it expects OEMs and system builders to begin releasing hardware running on the software in May.

Public release expected soon
Microsoft has reportedly settled on the name Windows Home Server 2011 for the OS that has been referred to by the code-name 'Vail.' Recent reports suggest the software is nearing the end of beta development; the WHS team briefly slipped a Twitter post suggesting the final release candidate will be available soon on Connect.
