Warpia Easy Dock connects notebooks to desktops
Source R&D has announced the upcoming release of its Warpia Easy Dock, which lets users access the processing power of their notebooks via a desktop interface. The dock relies on Wisair's Wireless USB and includes a dongle that plugs into the notebook as well as a receiver that connects to a display, mouse, keyboard and speakers. The image from the notebook, along with peripheral data automatically transmitted to the desktop setup from up to 30 feet away, with resolutions as high as 1400x1050.

Wisair dock allows for wireless MacBook desktop
Wisair on Monday introduced a Wireless USB DisplayDock Set, allowing users to wirelessly connect their MacBooks to a desktop-like setup that include a monitor, speakers, a keyboard and mouse. The device connects to a USB port on any MacBook with Mac OS X Leopard or Snow Leopard. Wisair claims there are no delays in sending the keyboard or mouse commands due to the nature of the ultra wideband radio.

TZero ceases operations
A company that focused on developing a wireless HDMI technology and standard, TZero, is out of business, a Thursday EETimes post notes. The company has been developing wireless HDMI technology using ultra-wideband (UWB) but has been forced to close prematurely by the poor market conditions that began last year. TZero joins Intel and others that have stopped their own in-house development of UWB.

Wireless USB Adapter Set
Wisair has announced its latest USB Display Adapter Set featuring the WSR601 wireless USB single chip, and designed to wirelessly transfer PC content to TVs, monitors, and projectors. Each adapter set offers CGA and HDMI connection options that enable the transferring of HD movies and supports up to a 1400x1050 resolution. The WSR601 is a single-die CMOS chip with integrated WUSB/MAC hardware accelerators and a 32-bit ARM subsystem for mostly control functions.
