LaCie taps Philippe Starck for USB 3.0 mobile drive

LaCie intros Starck Mobile USB 3.0 drive
LaCie drew on well-known French designer Philippe Starck today to rework its external drive design. The Starck Mobile USB 3.0 has a uniquely rounded aluminum shell that's both more visually distinctive and also more advantageous for the drive itself. At 2mm (0.08in) thick, the drive is resistant to mild shocks and gets a passive heatsink to keep the drive cool.
