MiTAC releases images, early specs of new tablets
MiTAC has granted an early look at three upcoming Android tablets that it will officially show off at the CeBIT show in Germany in March. Among them are the seven- and 10-inch Valar models, differing only in their physical size. Both run on Android 2.3 and will output 1080p video over their HDMI ports as well as support GPS.

Sony Ericsson Z1 PlayStation phone gets video slip
A leaker today obtained hands-on access to the Sony Ericsson Z1, better known as the PlayStation phone, and has posted videos (below) that reveal a PlayStation menu that signals Sony's intent to challenge Apple. The slider is running what appears to be a stock version of Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) but has a PlayStation icon that, when launched, shows a menu which would hold games specific to the Z1. It's not yet known for certain how users will get apps, but it's been suggested that Android Market would have a specific section for PlayStation games.

HP Zeen tablet gets full leak, sour early look
HP's Zeen tablet has been leaked in what may be signs of a disappointing launch. The seven-inch, Android 2.1 tablet is now expected by Engadget's insiders to be heavily linked to HP's TouchSmart interface and will hide the Android home screen. It may also strip out many of the Google apps, including Gmail and Android Market.
