New version adds four AppleScript commands
Mac-Chi has launched an update to its contact utility, WhoPaste. The utility can extract contact information from clipboard contents, with support for the primary contacts utilities for Mac: Apple's Mail, Google's Contacts, Marketcircle's Daylight and Microsoft's Entourage. It supports plain text, rich text and spreadsheet data, with quick access via a hotkey. WhoPaste can designate a new contact's category, priority, and tagline, as well as an organization's category, industry, region, tagline, and type. A list of keywords are assigned to either a contact or organization.

Service transfers Gmail and Calendar information
Google on Tuesday announced that it has expanded its Google Sync service to support the iPhone and other handsets running on either the Windows Mobile or S60 platform. Users can configure the function to automatically push Gmail messages to the phone's native e-mail application. Other synced content includes Calendar information and contacts.

WhoPaste 2.0 ships
Mac-Chi has launched WhoPaste 2.0, upgrading the contact utility with improved support for the productivity management software Daylite. The user interface is also upgraded with a minimalist toolbar and full drag-and-drop support. For users working with non-English contacts, Version 2.0 adds language-based hint files for organizing names, job titles and street addresses. Managed lists, additional AppleScript options and country-based parameters are also new.

Forklift 1.7 ($45) is a file manager for Mac OS X that connects to FTP or SFTP servers and manages Amazon S3 accounts or mobile devices over Bluetooth. The update now allows users to create zip, pkzip, tar.gz, tar.bz2 and add password protection to zip archives. Forklift is also now able to initiate multi-threaded FXP transfers between FTP servers and includes several new options and small refinements. [Download - 5.4MB]

Contactizer for Leopard
Object Decision has released Contactizer 3.6, an upgrade to its personal information manager. It features a new view that lets Leopard users view contact information as a series of "business cards" in Cover Flow -- designed to simulate users flipping through a paper Rolodex. The upgrade, which is free to registered users of Contactizer 3 and above, brings full Leopard compatibility, along with a dozen other improvements. The personal organizer supports multiple-calendar syncing and sports an easily customized interface.
