Screens connect to Snapfish, Pandora, Facebook
HP has introduced several new wireless-connected standalone displays, the DreamScreen 100 and DreamScreen 130. Both products are similar to digital photo frames, but with additional connectivity to services such as Snapfish, Facebook and Pandora. The interface is also capable of presenting weather forecasts, calendar information and a digital or analog clock.
Photo Books at PMA
Unibind and Digital Foci have both announced new photo books being displayed at the Photo Marketing Association Show (PMA). Unibnd debuted its Photos N Sounds photo book, which enables users to record personalized voice messages to go with their pictures. In addition to the custom messages, Photos N Sounds also plays various themed songs including Christmas carols and a happy birthday song. Users can set the desired messages simply by pressing and holding the recording button located above the speaker.
Wireless Internet Camera
TRENDnet has released its 7-inch Wireless Internet Camera and Photo Monitor, model TV-M7. Offering a maximum resolution of up to 16384 x 16384 pixels, the screen is designed to detect and work with any wired or wireless TRENDnet internet security cameras to provide real-time internet-camera video and monitoring for up to four different cameras at once (or switch between them). With the photo frame functionality, users can play photo slideshows with JPEG and BMP pictures, audio files including MP3, WMA, AAC or OOG formats, and stored videos in MJPEG, MPEGI, or MPEG-4 formats.
Memorex Digital Frames
Memorex announced the release of two new digital photo frames on Wednesday. The Special Occasions frame comes with four distinct surround inserts meant to highlight the key stages in one's life: white for wedding(s), baby blue for the birth of a son, or light pink for the birth of a daughter. The metallic silver surround is for all-around use. The other new product is the Floral frame, and it features a blue silkscreen floral design sitting atop a brown frame.
