Dock displays iPad, charges iPhone or iPod

Accessory-maker newPCgadgets has launched a combination iPhone and iPad 2 dock, iPad 2 Display Dock, reminiscent of the stands seen in Apple retail stores. It is made of polished, clear acrylic, with a recessed base for flush-mounting an iPad in landscape display, sitting at a comfortable typing angle, and an iPhone dock at its top. The designers specifically made the new dock to mimic the look and feel of the Apple Store displays.

Projector offers decent brightness for its size

MacNN has previewed Optoma's Neo-i iPod/iPhone dock, which also doubles as a projector. The system, which was announced in November and brought to CES, integrates a pico projector that allows users to play videos or pictures from docked devices. Like many other small projectors, the Neo-i's picture became slightly washed out when viewed under the bright lights at the Macworld Expo.

Sony intros RDP-X50iP speak...

Dock powered by 40 watt amplifier

Sony has expanded its line of iPod accessories with the RDP-X50iP, a speaker dock that focuses on portability. The dock appears to share many features with Sony's RDP-XF100iP, including 40 Watts of power and a 150 Hz - 10 kHz frequency response. The housing measures approximately 14 x 6 x 6 inches, which includes two 3-inch speakers.

Additionally, while an iPhone is docked, the NewerTech iPhone Speaker Dock & Mic charges and controls it with built-in volume and call start/end touch buttons. It will retail for $35 and is expected to ship on January 28, 2008.
