SOHO Printing line boosted by Brother
We've mentioned before that we are far from a paperless society. For now, at least, there are tasks that require a piece of paper for confirmation, proof of purchase, or a litany of other needs. Laser printers have existed since the first practical commercial model in 1984, and have since been known as one of the best products for high-quality text and printing at a consumer or business price point. One name present in printing for decades at this point is Brother -- the lineage grew this year with the LED Brother HL-3170CDW color printer with duplexer. Electronista has been living with one for a few months now, see what we think of this new printer!
Multi-function printer connects eight wireless devices to network
HP has put an all-in-one laser printer with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot on sale in India, effectively performing the usual task of a wireless hub. The HP Hotspot LaserJet Pro M1218nfs multi-function printer connects to a wired network via Ethernet, and can allow up to eight other devices to wirelessly connect at the same time.
Compact laser printer
Samsung Korea on Tuesday introduced what it claims are the smallest color laser printers ever built. According to the Akihabara News, the CLP-315K is 20 percent smaller than the previous generation the CLP-300; it operates at 45dB and features a resolution of 2,400 x 600 dpi, 32MB of internal memory, speed of 16 pages per minutes (ppm) in black and four ppm in color. In addition to the smaller footprints, Samsung claims that it has "drastically improved" the photo output quality.
