Purported 'iPhone 5S motherboard' leaks from Chinese repair site

Board is similar to existing iPhone 5, but sports small differences

An alleged "motherboard" from an iPhone 5S has turned up at a Chinese repair shop called iHospital. Lending credibility to the report is the fact that the new photos exactly match a motherboard leaked a more than a month ago, including some changes in layout. It is clearly possible that both leaked boards were fakes, but the new photos show that the boards are in production (since they are pictured as a pair in a snap-out card) and further support the reports that the iPhone 5S will sport multiple internal improvements, including the camera and graphics.

Next iPhone motherboard possibly spotted

A purported next-gen iPhone motherboard has surfaced thanks to a WeiPhone forums user. The part appears to be from a prototype device, if it is indeed from the next iPhone, as it does not carry the usual labeling one would expect to see. Also unseen is the processor that Apple might use in the device, at this stage expected to be a lower power 32nm variant of the A5X utilized in the third-generation iPad.

Leaked photos on Chinese forum show motherboard

New photos have surfaced claiming to show Apple's next-generation MacBook Pro motherboards. Chinese forum WeiPhone show some images of a motherboard that looks similar to previous versions, with mentions made towards the specifications of the MacBook Pro revisions. There however does not appear to be any sign of a previously rumored Retina-based display joining the updated line.

VIA intros slim Pico-ITX board with built-in power

VIA's slim motherboard

Taiwan's VIA Technologies today announced its slimmest Pico-ITX motherboard to date with the EPIA P700 Pico-ITX. To save space, it features an integrated power supply and is meant for use in ultra-compact systems. The P700 also sports in-line I/O pin-headers, Gigabit LAN support and a SATA II interface. The board comes with VIA's VX700 IGP chipset and a choice of a 1GHz C7 or fanless 500MHz Eden ULV processor.
