Smaller SIM in limited quantities initially
T-Mobile USA stores are carrying stocks of the Nano-SIM cards. The new and smaller SIM has reportedly been received by the stores, according to TmoNews, and is being sold to customers wanting to use the iPhone 5 on the carrier. Despite dispatching to stores, it may still take a day or two for the SIMs to enter the stock system, and may initially be available in very limited quantities.

Will also feature nano-SIM component
When Apple's iPhone 5 launches, it will do so in three models: CDMA, CDMA EV-DO Rev. A, and CDMA EV-DO Rev. B. As was previously expected, the new iPhone will also feature the nano-SIM design proposed by Apple and accepted as standard by international telecom standards bodies. The reason for the different models for the newest iPhone is thought to be related to the LTE infrastructures of some wireless carriers.

Miniature Sim orders signal impending launch
Apple's European mobile partners are preparing for the launch of the iPhone 5 by placing multiple orders with chipmakers for the nano-SIM card that will likely be featured in the smartphone. The device has yet to be announced, but The Financial Times reports that operators have begun ordering the cards by the millions in anticipation. The move is said to be a way of avoiding supply problems operators experienced when the iPhone 4 and original iPad launched two years ago.
