RPG coming soon for Mac, PC, iPad 14 years after original release
Classic computer roleplaying game Baldur's Gate is in the process of being redone for the Mac, PC, and iPad in an enhanced edition. Following a multi-day countdown timer, publisher Beamdog and developer Overhaul Games revealed more information about the previously announced port Thursday -- revealing three new playable sidekicks, and a new dungeon not found in the 1998 original release.
Puzzle Quest for Mac
Transgaming today announced the release of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords for Mac, a puzzle-based open-ended RPG. In Puzzle Quest, players can either do puzzles directly, or play an RPG-themed version, where they must collect items and experience to progress farther in the game. In the puzzles, players match three of a kind of different objects which either gives them money, experience, mana, or the ability to attack the opposing creature. Puzzle Quest is available for $20.

Eschalon has a focus on a single player storyline, with turn-based combat. Eschalon: Book 1 is currently available from Basilisk Games' website for $30 as an electronic download, and $40 for a CD version with an included download.
