Samsung unveils soundbar for curved televisions, M3 speaker

Curved Soundbar designed to have same curvature as Samsung UHD televisions

Samsung has revealed two more products ahead of this week's IFA show, this time pertaining to home audio. The M3 is the latest in Samsung's rival multiroom system to Sonos, following the M5 and the M7, while the Curved Soundbar is designed to match the same curvature and style as the manufacturer's curved UHD televisions.

Humax announces 20mm thick STA-1200 BSW soundbar

Digital electronics producer Humax has announced what it is claiming to be the thinnest soundbar available, the STA-1200 BSW. Measuring 20mm in thickness, the soundbar is suitable for use in conjunction with a TV or to play music via Bluetooth connectivity or its 3.5mm audio headphone jack socket. Due to be released May 1, the STA1200 BSW will be priced at approximately $425.

Streaming speakers, home entertainment systems on show from Samsung

Samsung has laid out what it plans to show at CES next week, alongside its 105-inch curved Ultra HD television. The Shape M7 that Samsung launched in October will be accompanied by a smaller model, a Soundbar and Sound Stand, a home entertainment system with a Blu-ray player, and a component audio system for entertaining that offers 2,500W of audio power.

Samsung reveals AirTrack F850 soundbar for large-screen televisions

Designed for 60-inch HDTVs, includes vacuum tubes for warmer sounds

Samsung has shown off a new soundbar aimed at those with larger television sets. The HW-F850, known as the AirTrack F850, offers a total of 350 Watts of power, an increase of 40 Watts from the preceding F750, while its physical size makes it more suitable for HDTVs measuring 60 inches, rather than smaller sets covered by other models.

Sony launches $1,300 soundbar with Bluetooth, NFC connectivity

Sound engineers from Sony Pictures claimed helped with design

Sony has revealed a new high-end soundbar designed for use in a home theater setup. The HT-ST7, priced at $1,300, is said to provide an "immersive true 7.1 home theater experience," one which also includes audio playback over Bluetooth from a smartphone or a tablet, with support for AAC and AptX, and quick NFC pairing included for Android devices.
